An AI cofounder for hardware is an AI you tell a product idea to, which then does what a technical cofounder would: it says what to build first, what will drive the cost and what it needs to know, and it is connected to the engineers and factories that make the thing. How is it different from an AI PCB or CAD tool?
AI design tools help an engineer draw a board or a part faster. They assume you are the engineer and that you will find a factory yourself. An AI cofounder starts one step earlier and ends one step later: it starts from a sentence, a sketch or a model from your own AI, and it ends with a sample on your desk and then production.
What does Anvol actually do?

Is it only AI?
No. Anvol has a view before you ask, but real engineers in Shenzhen check the numbers, source parts and run the builds. When one of them wrote a reply, it says so. The engineering and production side is also described at anvol.dev; it is the same company, Anvol, Inc.
What have its engineers built?
Hardware designed and shipped end to end, from board layout and firmware to enclosure, sourcing, assembly and packaging, including a 24-channel logic analyzer, a swing-arm tracked robot, a lidar line-following car, an underwater ROV with a manipulator arm and a wheel-legged inspection robot. What does it cost to start?
Talking to Anvol and getting a cost is free. When it is time to build there are two ways: pay for the build and own it outright (a 30% deposit starts a sample round), or, if Anvol believes in it, build together and share the profit. What it is not
