If you need a small batch of a custom logic analyzer or test tool, here is one real number. Anvol's engineers in Shenzhen developed a 24-channel logic analyzer and built 15 of them for $1,100 in total: a one-time development fee of $800, plus 15 units at $20 each. All amounts are in US dollars.

| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Development, one time | $800 |
| 15 units at $20 | $300 |
| Total, delivered | $1,100 |
Where did most of the money go?
Into development. Spread over 15 units, the $800 fee adds about $53 to each analyzer, more than the $20 the unit itself cost. That is normal for a batch this small; why a small batch costs so much per unit walks through it.
What the total does not include
Certification: the device did not go through FCC or CE; that is quoted separately when a product needs it. Shipping and import duties: not in the price, and the customer usually arranges freight once the units leave the factory. Extras such as tutorials, training or a live demo are priced on top.
Will mine cost the same?
Treat this as one data point, not a price list. Published answers to this question give ranges because they cover everything from adapting existing hardware to a new high-speed design. This was one specific device; yours is costed on its own, from its parts and the work it needs.
What about 50 or 500 units?
The $20 is the price for this batch of 15 and should not be stretched to a larger one. A bigger order is priced for that quantity; Anvol gives the price for 1, 10 and 100 units where it applies when it costs your device.
How do I get a number for mine?
Describe it to Anvol in a few sentences; a sketch, a photo of something close or a parts list helps, and so does the quantity you have in mind. Anvol asks what it needs to know, and its engineers cost it from real parts and supplier quotes. Getting a cost is free. A first round can be a single sample; a 30% deposit starts it, and the balance is due after you approve the physical sample.
A cost is not a guaranteed final price or delivery date, and nothing is charged or started without your approval. All three delivered projects · How Anvol works.
